MagieCRM for pest control companies
MagieCRM is a CRM for the office side of a pest control business: new residential accounts, commercial bids, termite inspections waiting on a yes, and who needs a call back. If your week is mostly recurring routes, GorillaDesk or Jobber will fit you better.
Checked October 1, 2026, against MagieCRM and the GorillaDesk, Jobber and Housecall Pro pricing pages.
Where MagieCRM falls short for pest control
- No routing, map or GPS.
- No daily schedule. Visits sit on a month calendar by date, one tech each, no time slots.
- No pesticide application records, EPA numbers or state reports.
- No text messages. Reminders, follow-ups and invoices go by email.
- Invoices are basic. No autopay, saved cards, recurring invoices, sales tax, deposits or partial payments.
- No customer portal, and customers can't approve or sign quotes online.
- No QuickBooks or Xero sync.
- No phone app or offline mode. It runs in the browser and needs a signal, which plenty of crawlspaces don't have.

What a pest control company would track
MagieCRM is most useful before the customer signs: the termite proposal you sent Tuesday, the restaurant bid waiting on the owner. You set up your own lists, called trackers, or have Magie, the built-in assistant, suggest some.
An example. There's no pest control template.
What it does in the office
Notes after an inspection
Whoever did the inspection types it into Scratchpad, the box at the top of the To-dos card on your dashboard: "Delgado, mud tubes on the garage sill plate, wants a price for liquid treatment, call her Friday after 3." Magie finds the Delgado inspection and shows you the changes and a Friday to-do to approve. Autofill reads a photo of a paper inspection sheet into the fields.
Proposal follow-ups and warranty renewals
Tell Magie: "If an inspection sits in Proposal sent for 5 days, email my follow-up and add a call to my to-dos." Or: "Email my renewal letter 30 days before the warranty renewal date." Update the date at renewal and it goes out again next year. Every email is a template you wrote.
Booking page and request form
A homeowner who found mud tubes can book an inspection from a link on your website, with email reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before. A booking doesn't create an inspection record, so someone adds it. A request form on your site does, or logs the request on the matching record if the email or phone is already in that tracker.
Invoices and review requests
Invoice a sold termite treatment through your own Stripe account and the homeowner pays by card online, with no cut to MagieCRM. Quarterly visits are invoiced one at a time, by hand. When an inspection moves to Treated, an automation can email your Google review request.
Quarterly service and the record limit
At the start of each quarter, a recurring job adds a visit for every customer in Service plans, whatever their stage. When a customer cancels, delete their plan, because moving it to Cancelled won't stop the visits. Monthly commercial accounts need their own plans tracker and a monthly job, and there's no every-other-month option, which GorillaDesk has on every plan.
Each visit comes in dated the first day of the quarter, with no time, tech or customer email. Automations email the address on the record itself, so no reminder goes out for a visit until someone adds one. With 250 accounts, that's 250 visits a quarter to date and assign by hand, and the month calendar shows only the 200 most recently changed.
Every customer, lead and visit is a record, and finished ones count toward your limit. With 250 quarterly accounts you start at 250 records and add 1,000 visits a year, so Starter's 1,000 fills when the third batch of visits arrives, three to six months in, before a single lead. Growth ($179) holds 10,000, about six years even with 50 new leads, inspections and bids a month. If you use MagieCRM only for selling, 50 of those a month fill Starter in about 20 months.
What it costs
The first 14 days are free, with every feature working, email and campaigns included. You pick a plan and add a card at signup, and the card is charged for that plan on day 15, then monthly. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. If you cancel, you keep using it until the trial or paid month ends. Then the account turns read-only: you can sign in, look at everything and export it. Your data is kept 90 days, then deleted. Jobber and Housecall Pro offer 14-day free trials with no card.
Starter is $99 a month for 3 people and 1,000 records, Growth is $179 for 10 and 10,000, and Business is $299 for 25 and 50,000. Extra people are $15 a month each. Every plan has every feature, and monthly billing has no contract.
Questions
Can MagieCRM text customers before a service visit?
No. Everything goes by email. If your customers expect a text the day before you come, Jobber's Connect plan sends them, and GorillaDesk adds texting for $5 a month plus message credits (prices checked October 1, 2026).
Can MagieCRM keep my pesticide application records?
No. There's no application log, EPA number list or state reports. You can add fields to a visit for product and amount, but that isn't a compliance record.
Can I bring my customers over from GorillaDesk or Jobber?
Yes, if you can export them to a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel). Magie maps your columns to fields and flags anyone whose email or phone is already in that tracker. Nothing goes in until you approve it.
